Quality Management (ISO 9001)

In November 1994, our company obtained ISO 9001 certification (Quality Management System) and has continued system production and operation based on these standards ever since.
We aim to improve and stabilize the quality of our products based on the "Quality Policy Statement."

-Quality Policy Statement-

Shinko Ind. Ltd. recognizes that creating products to obtain customer satisfaction is an important issue in business development, and actively strives for quality improvement and cost reduction.
In order to achieve this goal, we make the following quality policy statement:

  1. Establish and maintain a quality management system that complies with ISO 9001 (2015) standards and continually improve the effectiveness of the system.
  2. We make it certain to comply with customer demands as well as applicable regulations and rules.
  3. Reduce costs through quality improvement and increase global competitiveness.
    (1)To put this policy into practice, each division will work for a specific target annually and evaluate it based on the results.
    (2)To raise awareness and participation of all company employees, the company will focus on education and contribute to society through manufacturing as well as to the development of enterprises.
    (3)To sustain its relevance, this policy will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Environment (ISO 14001)

Today environmental protection is an international issue, thus an active response is expected from corporations.
Our company published its first "Environmental Policy Statement" and started environmental conservation activities in August 1999.
We are working in compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) outlining eco-friendly regulations.

-Environmental Policy Statement-

Shinko Ind. Ltd. deeply recognizes global environment as an important issue for all humanity and is independantly involved in environmental conservation activities.
In order to achieve this goal, we make the following environmental policy statement.

  1. We implement an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 to improve environmental performance continuously, and to adopt pollution prevention and mitigation of climate change.
  2. Work towards environmental protection with the participation of all employees.
  3. Set targets for energy and resource conservation, pollution prevention, and waste reduction, and review them on a regular basis.
  4. Comply with international environmental regulations, environment-related laws, ordinances, and agreements made with local governments in all business practices.
  5. Provide society with environmentally friendly products.

Occupational Health and Safety Management (ISO45001)

It is essential to provide health and safety in order to secure business continuity. For this goal, our company had been dedicated to various activities for a long time, but finally was certified with OHSAS 18001(Occupational Health Safety Management Systems) in March 2016, which has transitioned to ISO45001 since March 2021. By paying careful attention to the safety of employees and all visitors to our factory, we continue to advance safety levels further by fulfilling requirements and regulations.

-Health and Safety Statement-

Shinko Ind. Ltd. promotes health and safety activities voluntarily, recognizes and controls hazards, develops the mental and physical wellness of the employees by creating a comfortable working environment, so we can proactively engage in maintaining and improving the levels of our health and safety.
In order to achieve this goal, we make the following occupational health and safety statement:

  1. Establish and maintain a management system that prevents industrial incidents and diseases by recognizing hazardous factors, and continually improves the effectiveness of occupational health and safety activities.
  2. Work towards enhancing a health and safety management with the participation of all employees.
  3. Set targets for health and safety, and review them on a regular basis.
  4. Comply with health and safety laws and company regulations, and advance further levels of the health and safety management.
  5. Provide education and training for health and safety, so each individual can improve their safety awareness and health control.
  6. Improve the levels of countermeasures that can reduce risks of occupational health and safety by removing the hazards.
  7. Ensure that we participate in consultation with each worker and its representative.

Social Contribution Activities

We partake in community building activities primarily in Hiroshima City as well as in Fuchu-cho, Aki-gun where our head office and factories are located.

Implementations

  • Participation in beach clean-up activities nationwide during "UMIGOMI Zero WEEK" (ocean garbage zero week campaign).
  • Participation in Anti-littering Campaign in Fuchu-cho

Our company has been accredited with a “Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization” (small and medium enterprise category) since March 9th, 2022 by the Nihon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council). We aim that our employees can continue to work while staying healthy both mentally and physically.

Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Recognition Program

This program has certified the enterprises that are making excellent practices for “health and productivity management” to overcome regional health-related challenges and collaborate with the health promotion policies advanced by the Nihon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council).
By “unveiling” the list of certified enterprises, this program aims to organize an environment in which enterprises engaging in strategic “health and productivity management” to maintain employees’ health from a management perspective are able to attain public recognition from employees, job seekers, affiliated companies, financial institutions, or the likes.

Declaration on Health Promotion

Our company has been accredited with “the Excellent Healthcare Workplace in the Hiroshima Company’s Declaration on Health Promotion” since August 21th, 2024 by the Hiroshima branch office of the Japan Health Insurance Association. We aim that our employees can continue to work while staying healthy both mentally and physically.

Hiroshima Company’s Declaration on Health Promotion

The Hiroshima branch office of the Japan Health Insurance Association instituted a certification program of “Hiroshima Company’s Declaration on Health Promotion”, so it can seek to gather local companies that can proactively develop health promotion. The joined companies can be supported and accredited through this program, so the levels of all registered members' health can be maintained and improved further.
